here is my first editing in texture with paint.net and some of wath i learned in UnrealEd :)

the weapons effects haves 3 layers textures combined so they will not repeat + specularity :P

 

version.3 is in progress :)

hope you like them :P

Env maps are very important and not hard to add, i suggest you add it to your weapons and reupload it because it really makes a big difference.

 

On the texture you should define the element a little bit more and use higher quality panners (or at least for the ice one)

yea i have to add the env map when i wil have the time coz this is only at 50%of project

but i ddnt get wath did you wanted to say with the "define element" and "higher quality panners"

i have 512x512 texture on effect but i can only add a max of 1024x1024 textures or did you mean that the texture from ice is more blurry ? like low resolution ? well depend on wath i finde on google :)

so i want to add a second blend with another effect like the lavamod, vesper . . . etc haves

you know like one mesh and 2 final blends

but when i activate the second blend it will not show

it can be the dtx format i'm using ?

 

aniway its in test so if i finde the way how to do it and how to combine stuff i will make a tutorial with those swords :)

well the first thing go to mind is make a combiner function, this is only way to combine 2 Final Blends with one mesh, or is what I know, maybe other user know how do different.

can you give me the info on combiner function ?

i tryed to combine 2 blens or shaders but will not allow

i see that you can conect shaders with other shaders

but still i need to do more test !
